Hi.
The obvious first place for me would be Dhammagiri (S.N. Goenka's world headquarters). You can stay there, participating in meditation classes, volunteering as an assistant, and so forth, indefinitely. (And I'm sure they would appreciate your...
Hi there,

Hardi,
We are all energetic bodies and when we are practicing Thai on someone we enter into their energitic field. When healing them we in turn heal ourself.

Hi
For the past couple of years I have been experiencing something I'd like to know more about.
I have observed that on numerous occassion I get a pain in a certain part of my body (so far can recall experiencing pain in stomach, ankle, neck, lo...
I will tell you my immediate thoughts on this question....
My stance is that if you "diversify" it should be within the Thai tradition. If you want to give your clients a more rounded experience, look into Thai herbs, herbal meditations, dietary medicine, meditation, and the diversity of Thai folk healing practices. There's so much to learn, and so much to offer people within this system of traditional medicine. I strongly feel that Thai tradition is rich enough and so unique that I feel you don't need to look to the more conventional route of yoga, TCM, etc., and start mixing traditions that are unrelated to each other.
I have tried to make every form of learning tool (audio, video, books, this forum, etc.) available for people to take it to this next level in terms of practice—and in terms especially, theory, which is really most of what i am interested in teaching. The website is full of materials for further serious study of traditional Thai medicine as a serious traditional medical discipline. (I'm talking here about the correspondence courses, reading packets, my on-site courses, teacher trainings, etc.) Of course, if you can go to Thailand and engage in serious long-term study, that is preferable. (You can aso look at the recommended teacher page for on-site opportunities in advanced study closer to where you are). And, of course, please feel free to ask questions or seek advice from me about any of these specific avenues.
Anyway, just my 2 cents.... let me know if you have any comments.
