I’m really happy about being a part of Tao Mountain. I visited Thailand for the first time in January this year with a small group of people for the purpose of learning about the food and culture of Thailand. I have been organizing these tours for a…
Suzanne,
They are very close to Chiang Mai! They can pick you up, too, if you wish. I would contact them for transportation or good directions, and get the directions in Thai if you have a Thai driver, because we got a little lost on our way there the first trip. (Maw Hom will be happy to give the directions in Thai). We went to the market in Chiang Mai one of the nights we were studying there, that is how close it is. They dropped us off and picked us up. What service! They also have bicycles you can ride around (which we did) and, of course, a daily food market (which Maw Hom shops at daily for your meals). I'd love to know your plans as they unfold...~Susan
Hi Suzanne,
I had a wonderful experience at Baan Hom Sumanprai. The website is: www.homprang.com. Maw Hom, as she is called, speaks very good English. Her husband, Christopher, is American and will be the person you primarily communicate with via email. They can accommodate a group, but I am not sure how they like to set up groups. I was there as a student and Maw Hom and her family were the only teachers. Your dynamic and needs might be different. I think it would be worth exploring the website and sending an email with your thoughts and questions.
Healthy regards,
Susan
