Resources for Thai Massage, Traditional Thai Medicine & Theravada Buddhism

I recently was privileged to witness something very amazing and Pierce encouraged me to share.

When we are students of TTM the sen lines are taught and for the most part, we must take what is taught on face value since the lines can’t be seen or the energy that passes through them.

I have a client who is a professional singer and suffers from an intestinal disease. She has a stoma and wears a colostomy bag, for the collection of bowl waste. She presented with an imbalance of the sen Kalatharee. Kalatharee the sen that carries lom or air to the lungs, bowels and governs movement.

I began working the sen Kalatharee first. Each time I would create pressure on the line I would hear a whooshing sound, which reminded me of our sump pump expelling excess water around the house foundation. After finishing the first sen line the clients had to excuse herself to empty her bag, this continued through the entire opening of the sen lines. She made four trip in total.
After the second trip to the rest room I asked her how many times on an average day she had to change the bag, her response was once or twice.

The most amazing thing was I was able to control when the emptying occurred, the volume by the amount of pressure placed on the sen, and the pace that I worked. The action was completely controlled. I was actually able to witness the passage of lom within the body and know the effect that the giver has on the client.
